Kentucky National Guard LTC Virgil Elliott hugs his
wife, Lynda, Monday at the Kentucky National Guard in Lexington. Both are from Harrodsburg.
Members of the Kentucky National Guard prepared Monday to leave for Afghanistan. Task Force Cumberland will travel from the Lexington National Guard Armory to Camp Shelby in Mississippi. Ninety six members will help train members of the new Afghanistan National Army. This is the Kentucky Guard’s second mission for the Afghanistan National Army.

It rained pretty hard today- didn't do much. There was a tornado that hit down in the county. I tried to stay away from the digital on vacation and just shoot Polaroid. no luck

This is my view Wednesday- I had to do alot of holding- holding the ladder, holding the hammer, holding the 2x4's, holding my camera,!
it was fun though- I enjoy spending time with my parents. He's starting a organic farm in Fla. I told him about Terrapin Farm in Mercer and he wants to visit it.
