Dear editor,

We are addressing two articles in this letter:

First, we would like to salute Danville athlete Jeremiah Wheat for his testimony to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the Wednesday, Aug. 3 edition. What a different world we would live in if all Christians would take a stand as Jeremiah did. Thank you, young man.

Second, we would like to reference an article in the Friday, Aug. 5 edition. Contrary to a statement made in the article that “no one person had opposed” the vote for alcohol sales in Perryville: We were not asked. We are strongly opposed.
