1964-2016
Rhonda Denise Raines Oakley, 52, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016. Born in Casey County on March 5, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Howard Lee Raines and Mable Walls Raines and Ted Rice.
Rhonda graduated from Casey County High School in 1982. She was the customer service manager at R.R. Donnelley Co. and had been with the company family for 30 years.
Rhonda lit up a room when she walked in and spread joy and happiness to everyone. She loved her dogs, Cinderella, Jonas and Oliver.
In addition to her mother and step-father, she is survived by her husband, Phillip Oakley; six children, Joey (Jessica) Lawhorn, Jen (Jeremy) Curtis, Courtney (Brett Borders) Barrett, Caitlyn (Josh) Logue, Daniel (Tara) Barrett and David Oakley; a sister, Patty Raines; and five grandchildren, Matthew, Shepherd, Major, Breaker and Jack.
The Service of Celebration will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at Southland Christian Church, Danville. Brian Lucas and Aaron Ranson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Joey, Daniel, Josh, Jeremy, Brett and David. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6 at Southland Christian Church.
