Danny Duane Green, 68, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016. Born Jan. 25, 1948, in Stanford, he was the son of the late Odean Hogue Kipp and the late Ray E. Green. He graduated from Danville High School in 1966.

Danny worked at Phillips Lighting for many years, co-owned Green’s Army-Navy Surplus Store and owned Danny’s Auto Mart. He enjoyed dancing, motorcycles, hunting, and fishing at Lake Cumberland. Danny was a wonderful dad and grandfather.
In addition to his parents Danny was preceded in death by four brothers, Larry Green, Rodney Green, Ray “Whistle” Green and J.R. Kipp, and a sister, Reba Green.
Danny is survived by his two sons, Danny Duane (Terri) Green, II of Stanford and Philip Douglas (Jill) Green of Lexington; two daughters, Mary Danielle (J.B.) Green-Hinkle of Danville and Kristin Leigh Mattingly of Lexington; his lady friend, Sue Rogers of Nicholasville; five brothers, Ray Edward Green of Danville, Leo (Sandy) Green of Stanford, David Green, David (Nancy) Kipp, and Willie Kipp, all of Indiana; seven sisters, Jana (Greg) Tsuchida of Louisville, Becky (Scott) Hardigree of Evansville, Sharon (Al) Carpenter of Waynesburg, Sharon (Donnie) Coffman of Junction City, Tammy Green-McNew of Hustonville, Joyce (Jack) Adcock of Indiana, and Janet (David) Widner; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Larry (Glynda) Green of Lebanon, Tennessee; 10 grandchildren, Colin Turner Green, Kalyn Peyton, Andrea Whiteley, Mason Doran, Brady Green, Keagan Hinkle, Kelsea Hinkle, Mariah Richardson, Myranda Faith Mattingly, and Emma Paige Mattingly; two great-grandchildren, Landon Peyton and Cash Stoltz; an uncle, Sam Green of Richmond, Indiana; an aunt, Dorothy Green of Danville; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept.16, 2016 at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City with Rev. John Westerfield officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Al Carpenter, Mason Doran, Brady Green, Colin Green, Scott Green, Keagan Hinkle, J.B. Hinkle, and Cody Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Buford Green, Norman Green, Jr., Bryon Green, Steve Green, Daryl Meek, Kelsea Hinkle, Myranda Faith Mattingly, and Emma Paige Mattingly.
