Emma Jean Warner

1940-2016

Emma Jean Warner, 76, passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016. She was born Sept. 9, 1940 in Gravel Switch, Kentucky, one of eight children of the late James Edward and Georgia Bottoms Moran. She was the widow of Andrew Warner.

Emma was a member of First Baptist Church Perryville and a life-long homemaker. She enjoyed babysitting and was an avid UK basketball fan.

Survivors include four sisters, Kathryn Young (Richard), Dorothy Ellery (Joseph), Dora Gray, and Alice Lacy; a brother, Herbert Moran (Phoebe); and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Emma was preceded in death by a brother Edward Ray Moran and a sister Mary Lou Hagan.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at First Baptist Church Perryville with Rev. Jeff Yocum officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery in Perryville. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 16 from 6-8 p.m. at Wilder Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. at the church on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Henry Baker Jr., Greg Baker, Anthony Baker, Billy Hagan, Dustin Baker, and Kevin Lacey. Honorary pallbearers will be the First Baptist Brotherhood.
