Joe Daniel McCowan

1940-2016

Joe Daniel McCowan, 76, of Bowen, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016. Born Jan. 9, 1940, he was the son of the late Ike Thomas and Mattie Lou Wright McCowan. He retired from Saufley Implement Company.

Joe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Pat Southerland McCowan; son, Jody (Pam) McCowan of Moreland; daughter, Lisa Ellis of Bowen; sister, Elizabeth Privett of Junction City; three grandsons, Brian Ellis and Josh and Jeremy McCowan; two great-granddaughters, Jessica Ellis and Annaleigh McCowan; and two great-grandsons, Caedmon and Carson McCowan.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Bro. Stacy Wilson with burial in Maxey Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Thursday. Guestbook at www.wlpruitt.com
