Dear Editor,

I want to love Danville’s new Weisiger park. The flowers are beautiful and the trees are small but healthy and growing. But it’s hard to love it with so much left undone — the unfinished pergola, the anemic fountain, the topless bandstand, the mythical water wall, and the missing benches and trash containers.

And nothing much has been done since the park re-opened after the Brass Band festival. At this rate, the beautiful flowers will be long gone before the park is done. Alas, not much to love.
