• 135 North Second St. Bruce Richardson, applicant: requesting to replace the original six warehouse windows — 4 over 4 single panes in metal frames – with energy efficient UV protected insulated units. New units will be two panes divided by a vertical divider. Frames will remain black. Will replace the front door (not original) with a ADA compliant energy efficient door in an aluminum finish similar to the existing door. (Discussion from 8/17/16 meeting)
• 216 West Walnut, Clayton Denny, applicant: Requesting to install awnings over windows at EMHVI building. Install seven awnings manufactured of aluminum frames covered in canvas fabric. Awnings to face Walnut Street on north side of building and Third Street on west side of building.

GCHS 20th class reunion
LANCASTER — The Garrard County High School class of 1996 will be celebrating its 20-year class reunion with a tailgating party beginning at 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23 during the school’s homecoming football game at the new Garrard County Middle School.

Constitution Week
HARRODSBURG — The Jane McAfee Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) announces that Constitution Week is Sept. 17-23. This is the 229th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. Our Constitution is the oldest constitution still in active use in the world today. Constitution Week was officially declared on Aug. 2, 1956 by President Eisenhower.
