Mercer County grand jury indicts five

A Mercer County grand jury indicted the following people on Sept. 14:

• Timothy Combs, 25, 1406 Bushtown Road, Harrodsburg: operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs; and first-degree criminal mischief. Bail was set at $5,000. T.J. Wren with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.

• Joshua Harris, 23, 1907 Curry Branch Road, Manchester: fourth-degree assault; and first-degree criminal mischief. Bail was set at $5,000. Paul Parks with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office testified.

• Harvey Hines, 38, 417 Chestnut St. Apt. 5, Harrodsburg: second-degree burglary; and theft by unlawful taking under $500. Bail was set at $10,000. Kody Cloud with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.

• Chad Barnett, 47, 424 Talmage Mayo Road, Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin). Bail was set at $5,000. Chad Baker with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.

• Jessica King, 28, 1860 S. Danville Bypass, Danville: flagrant non-support. Bail was set at $5,000 non-refundable. Mark Jenkins testified.
