Delbert Walls

1926-2016

Delbert Walls, 89, of Crab Orchard, passed away Wednesday, September 21, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Delbert was born in Crab Orchard, on December 25, 1926. He was a son of the late Otis Newland and Martha (Hacker) Walls. Delbert had previously worked for both RC Cola and Coca-Cola and also had worked as a farmer. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sister, Shirley Adams, and a brother, John E. Walls, both of Danville; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Delbert was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Elmer, Harold, Tommy, Calvin and Frankie.

Pallbearers include Ron, Jimmy, Brian & Dwayne Walls, Mike Adams & Wade Turner. Honorary Pallbearers, Tommy Walls, Amber Adams, Megan & Christy Prather.

Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 27 at McKnight Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Gutenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the funeral on Tuesday beginning at 12:30 p.m. at McKnight Funeral Home.
