The Danville Police Department received its third five-year certificate of accreditation from the Kentucky Police Chief Association on Monday at Danville City Commission. 

Kentucky Police Chief Association Accreditation Manager Shawn Butler presented Chief Tony Gray and the Danville Police Department with a certificate of accreditation. 

“It’s a very laborious process,” Butler said. “They had to examine all their policies and all their practices to make sure they comply with the practices of law enforcement and make sure they give their citizens the best possible law enforcement services that they can.” 

After receiving the certificate of accreditation, Chief Gray thanked his Administrative Assistant Gale Mason for all of her hard work, along with Sgt. Sam Butler and Assistant Chief Robert Ellis for their hard work and helping make the Danville Police Department what it is.
