Photo gallery: Ducks Unlimited Greenwing event

Rain didn’t dampen the plans of Ducks Unlimited, a nonprofit organization, with a local chapter in Danville.
It is dedicated to the conservation of wetlands and associated upland habitats for waterfowl, other wildlife and people. Saturday’s event focused on the Greenwing program for kids, teaching kids to care about and love nature and protecting wetlands.
Materials for the wooden nesting boxes for wood ducks were donated by Stratton Lumber Company and created by students in the advanced manufacturing class at Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville.
