Jerry Wayne Preston

1958-2016

Jerry Wayne Preston, 58, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday at Fort Logan Hospital. He was born in Fayette County on July 19, 1958, to the late Leslie and Nellie Brim Preston. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Jamesetta.

Jerry worked for Disponette Service Co. for Lexington for over 20 years. He was treasurer and an active member of Gilberts Creek Baptist Church. Jerry dearly loved church, friends, and adored his family.

Also surviving are a son, Jeremy Thomas Preston (Crystal) of Stanford; a daughter, Jasmine Brooke Powers ( Theodin) of Lancaster; two granddaughters, Sadie Elise Preston and Loralie Grace Preston; a brother, Jack Preston (Judy) of Lancaster; and three sisters, Joyce Jarvis (Dave) of Cynthiana, Lorretta Sensabaugh (Lester) of Georgetown, and Judy Murphy of Nicholasville. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Browning and Bro. Morris Trayner officiating. Burial in Lancaster Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, from 5-9 p.m. Pallbearers are John Murphy Jr., Anthony Murphy, Jackie Preston Jr., Jimmy Preston, Christopher Browning, James Thomas Browning, and Lester Sensabaugh.
