“Turkey tracks” is the pattern of the 50-block green and white gingham handmade quilt packaged with two matching pillows.

Designed by the Festival Quilt Committee, the quilt has triple boarders in green and white. The back is a white and green gingham. The pillows are made of the same design.

Each block has two shades of green “turkey track” on a solid white background. The quilt measures a 110 inches square.

Mary Yoder, a former resident of Forkland who currently lives in Hardyville, made the quilt and decorative pillows.

Yoder pieced the quilt which is hand-quilted with her own design. She has made most quilts featured in past festivals.

Participants may bid in a silent auction both days of the festival. The highest bidder will be announced Saturday night, the final night of the annual event.

The silent auction also will contain other hand-crafted items by people associated with the Forkland community.

Wooden and metal items, crochet neck scarves, homemade cakes, art, cape with matching purse and other items will be featured along with the quilt.

Theme of the 45th annual Forkland festival is “45 years of Keeping Our History Alive”.
