Robert Smith

1929-2016

Robert Lee Smith, 86, of Danville was born Oct. 21, 1929, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He passed away and entered into Heaven on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, joining his father, Paul Doyle Smith; mother, Anna Marie Smith; brothers, Johnny Edmon Smith and Buddy Smith; sister, Pauline Smith; son, Edward Smith; daughter, Kristina Marie Smith and grandchild, Poochy Smith.

He lived most of his life in Texas and Oklahoma. He was a rancher, worked on drilling rigs in the oil fields and drove big rig trucks. He is survived by seven children: Johnny Lee Smith, Sr., Donna Marie Durkee, Pamela Ann Hellard, Robin Jean Hellard, Santonia Roberta Pauline Smith, Bobby “Buddy” Ray Smith and Paul Doyle Mullis; grandchildren: Kristina, Scott, Pam, Johnny Lee, Brandon, Laura, William C., Regina, Michael,, Johnny H., Jeremy M., Paul Jr, and Cheryl; and great grandchildren.
