Commodities to be distributed

LIBERTY — Commodities will be distributed to income-eligible Casey County residents from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12 at the Recycling Center located at 1175 Campbellsville Street. Recipients are asked to bring their own containers for easy storage and transportation. For more information, contact the office of Judge Executive, Randy Dial at (606) 787-8311.

Vendors needed for energy assistance program

Blue Grass Community Action Partnership (BGCAP) is seeking heating vendors for the subsidy and crisis components of the low-income home energy assistance program (LIHEAP). Vendors are needed for:

• fire wood per cord (4x4x8)

• coal, per ton

• kerosene, per gallon

• fuel oil, per gallon

Time frame for delivery will be 18 hours for a household in a life-threatening situation and 48 hours for a household in a non-life-threatening situation.

Junction City Council — 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13. Items on the agenda include: Tom Hensley speaking for an annexation request; Alaine Mills speaking on the stop light issue; Ann WEsley and Randy Williams to address a problem with the mayor and city council; request to paint the interior of the post office; cemetery request.
