Driven to given event to benefit CASA

CASA of the Bluegrass will benefit from the Driven to Give test drive event at Stuart Powell Lincoln car dealership in Danville.

For every test drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, taken at Stuart Powell dealership, 225 South Danville Bypass, Lincoln Motor Company will donate $20 to CASA of the Bluegrass.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) serves children in the family court systems in Anderson, Boyle, Franklin and Mercer counties.

Career fair planned for Lincoln library

A career fair for SourceHOV will be held Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Lincoln County Public Library. SourceHOV is looking for qualified individuals to fill open positions (data entry clerks and mail clerks) in their Mount Vernon location.

Democratic fish fry

A Democratic fish fry will be Thursday, Oct. 20, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Boyle County fairgrounds. The event will include food, music, door prizes and local official speakers. The event is free but donations will be accepted.
