WHEN BOYLE COUNTY HAS THE BALL

Offense: Freshman Landon Bartleson had his second straight 100-yard rushing performance last week, gaining 101 yards on 10 carries. He now has 223 yards on 22 rushes over the last two weeks. … QBs Sam Tiller and Reed Lanter combined to throw six interceptions last week.

Defense: The Wolverines are allowing nearly 300 yards and over 32 points per game. … WanDale Robinson had two interceptions and a fumble recovery. … LB Bryce Edmonson has 61 tackles to lead the team. … They held Garrard to 148 rushing yards.

WHEN WESTERN HILLS HAS THE BALL

Offense: RB WanDale Robinson had 254 rushing yards and three TDs in last week’s win, upping his season totals to 1,319 yards and 19 TDs. … He averages 12.4 yards per carry. … Robinson also leads the Wolverines with 345 receiving yards and two TDs.

Defense: DB Reese Smith had two interceptions against LexCath. Smith and Evan Tarter lead the team with five picks each. … LB Kaden Gervacio had 14 tackles, his second straight game with double digit stops.

4th And Goal: The Rebels haven’t lost more than four regular season games in a season since dropping six in 2007. … The Wolverines have already clinched their first winning season since going 7-4 in 2009.

Quick take: Winner of this matchup clinches the second spot in the district standings.

Lexington Christian (8-0, 2-0) at Danville (7-1, 2-0)

WHEN LEXINGTON CHRISTIAN HAS THE BALL

Offense: LCA RB Dillon Wheatley has some wheels, as his second-place finish in last year’s Class 1A 100-meter dash at the state track and field meet attests. … He has 3,558 career rushing yards and 54 TDs. But in his two games against Danville last year, he managed 181 yards and no scores. … QB Brayden Miller hasn’t thrown an interception in 92 pass attempts this year. He has 1,140 yards and 15 TDs.

Defense: The Ads allow 87.4 rushing yards per game, including 79.3 over the last four games. … LB Donlevy Harris leads the team with 59 tackles, and LB James Patton adds 56.

WHEN DANVILLE HAS THE BALL

Offense: RB Donlevy Harris needs 183 yards to crack the 1,000-yard barrier this season. … QB Zach Dampier has completed passes to nine different receivers, and four of them have double digits catches. … Dampier needs 100 yards for his second straight 2,000-yard passing season.

Defense: The Eagles are allowing 16.4 points and 216.75 yards per game. … A pair of senior LBs lead the defense — Brett Wilkins has a team-high 59 tackles, and Clay Elliott has 54 tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery returned for a TD.

4th And Goal: The Ads have won five straight in the series, nearly doubling up the Eagles in points over that span (224-119). … The Eagles have never went undefeated in a season. The closest they’ve been is a 14-1 mark during their 2009 Class 1A state title season.

Quick take: It’s the fourth “biggest game of the season” this year for the Ads.

Corbin (7-1, 2-0) at Casey County (7-0, 2-0)

WHEN CORBIN HAS THE BALL

Offense: QB Cameron Sizemore has thrown for 2,668 yards in his career, including 1,309 this season. … He has accounted for 56 touchdowns over the last three years. … RB Tucker Jewell and Sizemore have combined to rush for 731 yards and score TDs on the ground. … Sizemore threw for 378 yards and five scores in two wins over Casey last year.

Defense: The Rebels have given up 74 passing yards in their last two games. … They’ve forced eight turnovers in those games. … They’ve come up with 19 takeaways this season.

WHEN CASEY COUNTY HAS THE BALL

Offense: QB Breece Hayes stands with 3,713 career passing yards. If he holds to his season average, he’ll come within 36 yards of 4,000 this week. … RB Collin Miller has scored 37 TDs over the last three seasons. … He has averaged 8.4 yards every time he’s touched the ball during that time frame.

Defense: The Redhounds have allowed a total of 219 yards in the last two weeks. … They give up less than 165 yards per game on the year. … They have created eight turnovers this year.

4th And Goal: Corbin has won the last 14 meetings, scoring nearly four times as many points as the Rebels (572-148). … The Rebels are tied for the fourth most points scored in Class 3A this year. … Corbin has given up the second least amount of points in 3A.

Quick take: It’s not a stretch to say this is the biggest game in Casey County football history.

WHEN LEXINGTON CATHOLIC HAS THE BALL

Offense: QB Beau Allen has thrown for 260 yards and four touchdowns in two district games. … Junior RB Dameon Jones has accounted for 351 yards of offense and 5 TDs in the district games, averaging 7.8 yards per touch. … Jones has 849 rushing yards and nine TDs this year.

Defense: The Lions allow 262.25 rushing yards per game. … LB Josh Warren leads the team with 64 tackles. … They’ve given up 604 rushing yards in the last two weeks.

WHEN GARRARD COUNTY HAS THE BALL

Offense: In two meetings last year, the Lions rushed for 517 yards. … RB Jacob Foley rushed for 250 yards in those games. … This season, Foley has 1,176 yards and 14 TDs, needing 201 yards and three TDs to set new personal bests. … QB Connor Isaccs threw for a career-high 139 yards last week. It’s the first time in 17 games a Garrard QB has thrown for more than 100 yards.

Defense: In the last two weeks, the Knights have given up 14 points and 482 total yards. … Jack Fagot leads the team with three interceptions, and Sid Sharp has three fumble recoveries. … Sharp had 12 tackles and a fumble recovery in the two meetings last year.

4th And Goal: A win would clinch LexCath’s second straight Class 3A, District 4 title. … The Lions are 1-4 in district regular season games over the last two seasons. … Garrard hasn’t lost three straight games since early in the 2013 season.

Quick take: A win here would definitely give Garrard the momentum it needs heading into the postseason in two weeks.

South Laurel (3-5, 0-2) at Lincoln County (1-7, 0-2)

Last week: South Laurel lost to Pulaski Co., 28-27; Lincoln Co. lost to Southwestern, 37-7

WHEN SOUTH LAUREL HAS THE BALL

Offense: Matt Harp and Jared Grubb have combined to rush for 1,110 yards and 11 TDs this year, averaging 5.6 yards per carry. … Grubb rushed for 123 yards and one score in last year’s meeting. … Grubb had 240 yards combined passing and rushing last week.

Defense: Over the last three games, the Pats have given up 154 points and 1,437 yards. … They’re allowing just fewer than 37 points per game on the season. … Lincoln held South Laurel to 286 yards last year.

WHEN LINCOLN COUNTY HAS THE BALL

Offense: RB Tra Carey needs 53 yards to pass the 1,000-yard mark for the season. … He’s also caught seven passes for 72 yards. … QB Tanner McAninch completed 13 passes for 161 yards and a score in last week’s loss. … The Patriots have been held to a touchdown in two of their last three games. … McAninch rushed for 247 yards and four TDs in last year’s win.

Defense: Senior FS Jerred Lovins leads the Cardinals with 91 tackles. … They’ve given up 28 or more points five times this season, including the last three games.

4th And Goal: Grubb had a 71-yard kickoff return for a TD last week. … The Patriots have won six straight over the Cardinals, out-scoring South Laurel by an average of 17.5 points per game.

Quick take: The Patriots could make it a clean sweep of the Laurels at home this year.
