Mercer County indictments released

A Mercer County grand jury indicted the following people on Oct. 12:
• Justin Deaton, 18, 3460 Talmage Mayo Road, Salvisa: two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment; first-degree criminal mischief; and leaving the scene of an accident. Bail was set at $10,000. T.J. Wren with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.
• Clayton Brown, 28, 111 Prosperous Way, Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia; and driving on a suspended or revoked license. Bail was set at $5,000. Wren testified.
• Brad Helm, 37, 518 Cedar St., Crab Orchard: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin); first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine); and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $20,000. Brian Allen with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.
• Christopher Richardson, 29, 202 E. Office St., Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine); and second-degree fleeing or evading police. Bail was set at $5,000. Kody Cloud with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.
• Matthew Gregory, 20, 453 Larue St., Harrodsburg: second-degree criminal abuse for allegedly wantonly abusing a person who was 12 years old or younger; and violation of an emergency protective order. Bail was set at $5,000. Allen testified.
• John Nicholson, 19, 105 Heather Way, Nicholasville: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin); and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $10,000. Allen testified.
• Stephen Lunsford, 26, 355 Forman Ave. No. 203, Lexington: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin); and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $10,000. Allen testified.
• Kathy Huff, 43, 205 Cool Breeze Dr., Nicholasville: receiving stolen property $500 or more but less than $10,000; and third-degree burglary. Bail was set at $10,000. Brian Hislope with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.
• Timothy Helton, 26, 214 McCalls Mill Road, Lexington: receiving stolen property $500 or more but less than $10,000; and third-degree burglary. Bail was set at $10,000. Hislope testified.
• Matthew Stewart, 35, 1615 Huntoon Ave., Louisville: receiving stolen property $500 or more but less than $10,000. Ryan Evans with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.
• Dan Blakeman, 49, 425 W. Office St., Harrodsburg: theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000. David Patterson with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.
• Beth Garland, 31, 205 Cool Breeze Dr., Nicholasville: receiving stolen property $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000. Hislope testified.
