Clarification

Perryville City Council voted not to allow Sunday alcohol sales. 

The article in Friday’s edition of The Advocate-Messenger should have clearly stated that the Perryville City Council voted to not allow Sunday sales.

Housing Authority of Danville — special board meeting, 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the central office. Items on the agenda include approving moving expenses for executive director in training; approving executive director in training contract; discussion of overtime final rule. Other items to be considered are: resident concern; vacancy list; resident newsletter.

Architectural Heritage Board — special called meeting, 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Danville City Hall conference room. Items on the agenda include: certificate of appropriateness for 233 West Main St., Scott Bottoms is requesting to install a new style of awning with different cover and old awning will be removed; CLG grant design guidelines RFP discussion.

Boyle County Agency for Substance Abuse Policy (ASAP) — 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at the Danville Boyle County Public Library in the lower level meeting room. All interested persons are invited to attend. Please note this change from the normal meeting site.

Danville-Boyle County Planning and Zoning technical review staff — 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 in the Danville City Hall conference room

Danville-Boyle County Planning and Zoning — 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 at Danville City Hall public meeting room. Items on the agenda include: plat revocation, Foxworth; minor plats for Rhonda Foxworth Lear on Lebanon Road and Russell Goodwin on Kemper Lane; and final plat amendments for Gerald Wilcher Phase 2 and Premier Village Phase 2. Following this meeting there will be a budget committee meeting to discuss 2017-2018 budget goals.

Ephraim McDowell Health sponsoring free flu shot clinic Oct. 26

Ephraim McDowell Health is sponsoring a free flu shot clinic from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 26 at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in Danville. Walk-ins are welcome and flu shots are available for anyone 18 years of age and older.
