Reelect all four Danville city commissioners

Dear Editor,

I am supporting all of the incumbents who are up for re-election on the Danville City Commission.

James Atkins, Kevin Caudill, Rick Serres and Denise Terry deserve to continue in their roles as commissioners.

They are diligent, responsible and practice civility in dealing with each other as well as Danville citizens. I have found them to be open to suggestions and interested in different points of view.

I have observed on several occasions that they work cooperatively with the mayor, city manager and city attorney, but do not hesitate to ask pertinent questions. They make an effort to support efficient and effective meeting time.

Atkins and Caudill bring years of experience to the table; and Serres and Terry are able to build on their own knowledge acquired over the past several years.  We are fortunate to have diversity (age, gender and race) on the commission, so that the views of all citizens are represented.

The four candidates have been successful in their careers and active in the Danville/Boyle County community in various capacities. There are a variety of backgrounds and interests, which enrich viewpoints and influence thoughtful decisions.

Let’s keep the slate of candidates who have proven themselves to have the best interests of Danville at heart by voting for Atkins, Caudill, Serres, and Terry. Thank you,

Sarah Vahlkamp
