New pastor
WAYNESBURG — Gerald Junior Skaggs, of Liberty, is the new pastor for Waynesburg Pentecostal Church, located at 12127 U.S. 127 South in Waynesburg. Services are 10 a.m and 6 p.m. on Sundays, and 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Special guest speaker
STANFORD — Rev. Ralph Boyd Smith, pastor of St. James AME Church in Danville will be special guest at Bethel AME Church Boneyville in Stanford, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. Rev. Reginald Pullums is pastor.
Revival
Gethsemane Baptist Church will have a revival Sunday through Wednesday, Nov. 6-9 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday and weeknights at 7 p.m. Guest evangelist will be Mike James, and music will be with Steve Scaggs. Gethsemane is located at 123 Quisenberry Avenue; (859) 236-2581.
Pastoral anniversary service
LANCASTER — St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church will celebrate the 23rd Pastoral Anniversary of their pastor, Elder Barry Bowman at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13. The guest will be Elder Juan Kenley, associate minister of St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church. The guests at 3:30 p.m. will be Rev. Robert Blythe and congregation from First Baptist Church, Richmond. Dinner will be served after the morning service. The church is located at 406 South Campbell St. in Lancaster. Everyone is invited to attend.
Soup and sandwiches
MCKINNEY — McKinney Christian Church is hosting a soup diner beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 4 until they run out of soup. The menu includes soup, sandwich dessert and drink. The cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children ages 12 and younger.
