Margaret Ellen Ramey

1935-2016

Margaret Ellen Ramey, 80, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016. She was born on Nov. 12, 1935 in Pikeville, Kentucky, one of twelve children of the late Freeland and Della Stiltner Ramey.

Margaret was of the Baptist faith and retired after 23 years as Deli Manager for Chatham’s Grocery Store in Michigan. She had a natural “green thumb” and loved to spend time in her yard gardening. Also, she enjoyed shopping and looking for bargains at garage sales. She experienced many difficulties in life but was known for her perseverance and positive outlook on life.

Margaret is survived by two children, Greg Justice and Wanda Stevenson. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Diane Castle, and two sons, Michael and Jeffrey Justice; and several of her brothers and sisters.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 7, 2016 at Wilder Funeral Home Perryville with Rev. Doug Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 and after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
