Andrew Scott Bruner

Andrew Scott Bruner, 24, of Crab Orchard, passed away on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016. He was the husband of Melissa A. (Durham) Bruner whom he married on Oct. 30, 2011. Andrew was born in Stanford, Kentucky on May 25, 1992. He was the son of Sonda S. Hinds Locklear and the late David Scott Bruner. 

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Bruner; three sons, Robert David Cash Bruner, Joshua Noland Rowe and Brian Keith Walden, Jr.; mother, Sonda Locklear and husband Perry; paternal grandmother, Joyce Faye Martin; maternal grandmother, Helen Withrow; five brothers, Rodney, Travis Wayne and Ricky Lee Fowler, Jr., Mickey and Kelvin Taylor; two sisters, Christina Lear and Amanda Farthing; five aunts, Helen Holcomb, Ronda Hinds, Lisa Spradlin, Sharon Cruse and Kim Estes; and an uncle, Shane Simpson

In addition to his father, Andrew was preceded in death by a brother, Cash Carpenter and a sister, Candi Carpenter; maternal grandfather, Albert “E.J.” Hinds; paternal grandfather, David Bruce Bruner; great-grandmother, Della Mae Whitaker; mother-in-law, Patricia Simpson and father in-law, Wayland Ballard.

Pallbearers include Ricky Lee Hinds and Andrew’s five brothers, Rodney, Ricky, Travis, Mickey and Kelvin. Honorary pallbearer is Oliver Lance Holcomb.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dan Gutenson officiating. Burial will be in the Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at McKnight Funeral Home.
