Lowell Edward Saylor

1935-2016

Lowell Edward Saylor, 81, widower of Alma Jean Dowell Saylor, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at the Golden Living Center. Lowell was born April 1, 1935, in Lincoln County, Ky. He was the son of the late Sam Edward and Melavee Harris Saylor.

He had served as deacon of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church for 50 years. He was a retired supervisor for Penn Ventilator and had served as a former union steward for the sheetmetal workers union. 

Survivors include one daughter, Connie Sue Saylor and husband Dave Riggs; one son, Jerry and wife Lisa Saylor; two brothers, Morris Saylor and wife Dorothy, and Wayne Saylor and wife Pat; sister-in-law, Eula Saylor Eaton; three grandchildren, Chasity Dunn, Derrick Baugh and Jordan Saylor; three great-grandchildren, Nathan Isaiha Baugh, and Chloee and Clareese Dunn.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Michelle Oaks, and one brother, Curtis Saylor.

Funeral services will be noon on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church with minister, Bro. Dan Gutenson. Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time on Saturday at the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.

Pallbearers include Derrick Baugh, Eddie Dunn, Jordan Saylor, Isaiha Baugh, John Saylor and Doug Snyder. The Deacons of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
