Family and Friends Day

MORELAND — Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, Moreland, will have a Family and Friends Day on Sunday, Nov. 20. The 3 p.m. speaker will be Rev. Robert A. Strode and members of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Versailles. Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m.

Singing

STANFORD — There will be a singing at Harris Creek Baptist Church at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 with Heaven Bound singing. The church is located at 2205 Harris Creek Road.

Food sale

Hope Full Gospel Church, 395 A Earl Street, will be selling dinners on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18 and 19 from 12-6 p.m. The menu includes spaghetti, salad, dessert and a drink for $7; or, pork chop dinner with vegetable, salad, dessert and a drink for $7. Advent study

Third Street Methodist Church, located at 119 South Third St. in Danville, will begin an Advent study at 9:30 a.m. Sunday Nov. 20. This is five-week study of Advent will be led by James Moore and is for people of all ages. Everyone is welcome to join the study as a time of reflection and discussion in the upcoming celebration of the Christ Child, Jesus. Participants are also invited to stay for the 11 a.m. Sunday morning worship service.
