Myra Wise

1928-2016

Myra Dell Hollon Wise, 88, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016. She was born in Gravel Switch, Kentucky on May 21, 1928, a daughter of the late Hugh Cuthbert and Flossie Lee Whitehouse Hollon. She was married for 25 years to Carl B. Wise when he passed away in 1979.

Myra was a faithful member of Deer Park Baptist Church and was a former beautician, and more importantly, a devoted homemaker and mother.

Surviving to honor Myra’s life are two children, Clifton Ray (Lisa) Wise, and Sandra Carlyne (Jimmy) Kerr; a granddaughter, Sarah Anne (Art) Borromeo; and a great-grandson, Mason Stuart Borromeo.

In addition to her parents and husband, Myra was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nora Dell Wise; grandson, Joseph Carl Wise; twin sister, Mildred Gayle Wise; three other siblings, Hugh Clayton Hollon, Eugenia Wanell Hollon and Ralph Carlton Hollon; and a special aunt, Nora Dell Whitehouse.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 at Wilder Funeral Home Perryville with Dr. David Platt officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
