Two injured in U.S. 127 wreck

JUNCTION CITY — A two-vehicle wreck on the south side of Junction City sent two people to the hospital Tuesday morning.

The wreck occurred at the intersection of Knob Lick Road and U.S. 127 about 7:30 a.m.

According to the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office, a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by Patricia Lamb, 63 of Stanford, was attempting to cross U.S. 127 from West Knob Lick Road to East Knob Lick Road when her car collided with another going south on U.S. 127.

The southbound car was a silver four-door Nissan Maxima, driven by Ronnie Smith, 70, of Stanford, according to the sheriff’s office.

Both Lamb and Smith were transported to the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
