William Clyde Brown 

1930-2016

Buddy Brown age 86 died Thursday morning. Born Oct. 16, 1930, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, 

he was one of four sons of Hazel and Homer Brown. Buddy was preceded in death by Dolores Ann Brown, married for 64 years.

Immediate family members include Teddy, (Alicia) Carpenter, of Lexington; Russ, (Patty) Brown, of Danville; and Chuck Brown, of Owensboro. Grandchildren are Benjamin and Rachael Carpenter, Monica, Dana and Eric Brown, and Katie, Elizabeth and Sarah Brown. Great grandson is Rex “Tripp” Myer.

Buddy was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force. Buddy retired after 36 years working for AT&T/South Central Bell. 

Buddy was passionate about spending time with family and boating together whenever possible. He has been a faithful member of Centenary Methodist Church in Danville for more the 50 years.

A memorial service, family only, will be held this weekend. Stith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be donations to Centenary Methodist Church on Perryville Road in Danville.
