Izetta Jenkins Arnold Young

1916-2016

Izetta Jenkins Arnold Young, 100, of Danville, passed away Thursday at Danville Health and Rehab Center.

She was born April 28, 1916 in Scott County to the late Andrew and Lula Gilvin Jenkins. Izetta is preceded in death by her husbands Roger Arnold and Robert Young.

She worked for GE for over 29 years where she retired and was a homemaker, as well. Izetta was a member of the First Christian Church in Stamping Ground. Surviving are two sons; Edward Arnold (Susan), of Danville, and James Arnold, of California; one daughter, Linda Hopper, of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Robey, of Elizabethtown, and Elizabeth Hammons, of Georgetown.

Preceding her in death are a daughter, Virginia Hampton; three brothers, Emory, Jay and Reynolds Jenkins; and three sisters, Mae Wallace, Odella Johnson and Francis Lyons.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2016 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Dr. Tommy Valentine and Dr. Steven James officiating.

Burial in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers are Wayne Duff, Ollie Wallace, Dennis Robey, Johnny Jenkins, Jerry Jenkins, Kurt Folger, Jeff Peak and Robinson Cineus. www.prestonpruitt.com
