Girl Scouts to have Jingle Bell Bash

Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road is having a Jingle Bell Bash for all registered Girl Scouts, from 6-7:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Morning Pointe Senior Living facility, 1375 Perryville Road. This “bring a friend” event will have a wintery holiday season theme with snacks, crafts and games. Girl Scouts who bring a friend will be awarded a “Bring a friend” patch. Girls Scouts are also asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food bank.

Boyle County District Board — 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28 at the extension office. The agenda includes: final decision of the building committee regarding the architect and purchase of a new audiovisual system for the building.

Danville-Boyle County Planning & Zoning technical review — 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 at Danville City Hall conference room.

Items on the agenda include new business: plat revocation, Fackler Development #1, Roy Arnold Blvd; site plan, outpatient healthcare facility. Other business to discuss includes: October financial reports; 2015-2016 fiscal year audit; budget committee appointments; and comprehensive plan update.

Crowns and Christmas holiday event  Dec. 10 

The Miss Kentucky Scholarship Organization will be sponsoring a very special family holiday event. Crowns and Christmas, an evening of holiday entertainment featuring the talents of Miss Kentucky Laura Jones, local winner of Miss Danville 2016, and Miss Kentucky Outstanding Teen, Chapel Tinius. They will be joined by former Miss Kentuckys, former contestants and other from the great Miss Kentucky family, including Perryville resident Emma Parks Steberl.
