Our featured pets this week are Gretchen and Tony.

    Gretchen is a beautiful orange and white cat that is about 5-6 years old. She is a gentle giant who just loves being petted and rubbing up against you. Gretchen was brought in as a stray, but she is declawed and obviously was someone’s house pet. Gretchen is ready for a fresh start in a loving home, and would be a great fit for most any family.

    Tony is a darling 4-month-old Beagle mix. He has a pretty black and brown coat and a spunky look in his eye. Tony has plenty of puppy energy. He loves attention and playing with toys and other pups. Tony will probably be a medium sized dog when full grown. He has been neutered and is ready to make a great addition to his forever home!    

 

This Saturday at 12:30 p.m. is our monthly DBCHS obedience class. The class is held inside the service department at the Stuart Powell Ford Dealership on the U.S. 127 Danville Bypass. The class is free for those who have adopted from a shelter or rescue. Others are welcome to attend for a small donation to the humane society. On Friday, Dec. 9, bring your pets to the humane society and have their special holiday portrait made by R2 Logue Photography. Appointments are available between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Multiple pets and family members are welcome. Your portrait will make a great Christmas gift!
