Live at Nellies: Mike Evces performed Wednesday night at the sports bar side of Nellie Burton’s Steakhouse on Fourth Street in Danville. “I’ve been performing since I was in seventh grade ... So — for quite some time. It’s my one passion, except for my daughter.” Evces performed some covers and several original tunes he wrote — like “King of Kentucky,” “Danville’s Been Drinking,” “Jennifer Jason Leigh” and “Emily.” Although he hasn’t released any songs for purchase as of yet, it’s something he’s working on. “EPs are forthcoming,” the artist says. “But I do have a Soundcloud page people can visit.” Evces will play 6:30-9:30 p.m. each Wednesday at Nellie’s, which is martini night at the restaurant.
