Danville girl named wins national preteen crown from MAC Pageants

Vanessa Ramos, daughter of Carlos and Annette Ramos of Danville, has been named national Miss American Preteen 2017 by Miss American Coed Pageants.
Ramos, 12, is in the sixth grade at Boyle County Middle School. She is a competitive dancer at Lancaster Dance Center and plays soccer, according to a news release.
Ramos competed as Miss Kentucky Preteen in the national MAC Pageant competition at Walt Disney World in Florida during Thanksgiving week, according to the release. She competed against 75 other girls in the areas of talent, modeling, evening gown, private interview with judges and personal introduction on stage, according to the release.
As Miss American Preteen 2017, Ramos will be volunteering, making appearances, meeting with state leaders, promoting Miss American Coed pageants and more, according to the release.
