Fawn Spidel Ryan

1961-2016

Fawn Spidel Ryan, 55, of Danville, passed away Friday, Dec. 2 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center from complications of cancer. She was born on August 5, 1961 in Ashland, Ohio to the late Marvin Henry and Patsy Siferd Spidel.

Fawn is survived by her husband of 32 years, Marty Ryan. Also surviving is a daughter, Mandy Ryan (Kyle Ayres) of Danville; two brothers, John Spidel (Phoebe) of Ohio and Ted Spidel (Cindy) of Alabama; two sisters, Marva Odren (Keith) of Michigan and Jill Chance (Dave) of Indiana; numerous nieces and nephew; beloved pets: Re-Re, Madeline, Petunia, Beauregard, and a grand-puppy, Penny.

Fawn lived her life first for her Lord and secondly for her family and friends. She was known for her generosity and kindness. She had the heart of a lion and would always fight for those she loved.

In her young adult life, she spent four years in missions. She raised a beautiful daughter. She helped establish a family business and went on to work as an accountant for other firms. Her life and vivacious spirit will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 9 from 5-8 p.m. at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home, 331 South 4th St, Danville, Kentucky. Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 10 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with George Smith and Dave Chance officiating. Burial and graveside service will be held Monday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. at the East Nelson Cemetery, 8601 18 Mile Road, Cedar Springs, Michigan.

A luncheon following the graveside service will be at East Nelson Church, 9024 18 Mile Road, Cedar Springs, Michigan.

Pallbearers will be John Spidel, Ted Spidel, Dave Chance, Keith Odren, Kyle Ayres, and Troy Anderson.
