Gose Pike Convenience Center is still under construction, and the Boyle County Waste Department is asking for patience from residents while work continues.

Construction has continued nearly a week past the projected completion date of Dec. 2.

Solid Waste Director Donna Fechter said there have been setbacks on getting the construction completed.

Boyle County Solid Waste is still waiting on the electric to be completed in the new tower, she said. They are also waiting for foam insulation to be put in, she said. They are hoping for that to be completed today.

Fechter said the new projected completion date is Dec. 14.

Even with the extension of the construction, Gose Pike Convenience Center will continue to remain open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This Saturday, Gose Pike will be open from 7 a.m. to noon, Fechter said.

“We need people to continue to go to the other convenience centers if they can,” Fechter said. “Please be patient with us, as we are trying to get this done as soon as possible.”
