Franklin D. McClure, 80, of Lincoln Co., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evon Bruner McClure.

Frank was born on Jan. 4, 1936 in Rockcastle, Kentucky to the late John Henry and Suddie McClure.

Frank was a farmer for most of his life.

Surviving is a son, Franklin McClure Jr. (Margaret) of Brodhead; four daughters, Susan Jane Denny(Gordon) of Lancaster, Kitty Hasty of Richmond, Bonnie McClure of Nicholasville and Ann Johnson(Leonard) of Nicholasville; a brother, George McClure of Lancaster; and two sisters, Rosie Sherrow and Betty Walker both of Nicholasville; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Pope officiating.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
