Closure of Lexington Street in Harrodsburg rescheduled

HARRODSBURG — Lexington Street in Harrodsburg will be closed at the railroad crossing from 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, through 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced the rescheduled closure Monday. Originally, the road would have been closed today and tomorrow. The closure is necessary so that Norfolk Southern can replace the railroad tracks at the crossing, in anticipation of a larger replacement project planned for 2017.
The cabinet recommends using the U.S. 127 Bypass as a detour.
