Donna Carpenter Scott 

1953-2016

Donna Carpenter Scott, 63, wife of Gary Scott, Mackville died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016. Born Dec. 12, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Winifred Carter Carpenter. She was an Assistant HR Specialist for BPI and owner of Donna’s Silver and More. She obtained her Master’s Degree from Walden University, was a member of the Mackville Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, traveling and making jewelry.

Survivors include one daughter, Tina Scott Weldon of Perryville; one brother, Charlie (Kay) Carpenter, of Harrodsburg; one half-brother, Glenn (Teresa) Carpenter; two half-sisters, Lisa (Tom) Moss and Bonnie Glaze; two grandchildren, Lance Martin Weldon and Victoria Scott Weldon and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister: Virginia Mae Miller.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. David Gifford and Bro. James Harley officiating.

Burial will be in Peter’s Cemetery with Huey Carter, Travis Fox, Mark Reed, Jeff Shewmaker, Gary Rogers, Charles Carpenter and Todd Gritton serving as pallbearers and Dixie Luttrell, Lisa Shewmaker, Denise Cornish, Rhonda Carter, Jackie Caltagerone, Leigh Brothers, Sheila Hensley, Kay Carpenter, Judy Dewitt and Meagan Portwood serving as honorary pallbearers.
