Charlotte Goode Young, 80, of Danville, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017. Born May 24, 1936, she was the daughter of Everett and Mary Fraser Reed Goode.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, flowers and gardening, quilting and caring for her family and friends. She was a member of 1st Baptist Church and attended Willow Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Young, and six brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a son, Britt (Lyda) Young; her daughters, Ann Young (Jason) Stevens, Margaret Young (Allen) Levi; and son, John (Kelley) Young; a brother, Harold Goode; and a sister, Jane Goode Mitchell; grandchildren, Jay (Marianne) Young, Jessica Gatton (Will Rodes), Jared Stevens, Brandi Levi, Eleanor Levi, Andrew Crabtree, Jack Young, and Samantha Young; and great-grandchildren, Thea Mae Young, Thomas Jay Young, Landon Gatton, Laykin Gatton, Traci Stevens and Payton Crabtree.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. prior to the service. Rev. Dale Denton will officiate. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
