Danville-Boyle County Planning & Zoning Technical Review — 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, in the Danville City Hall conference room.

Danville-Boyle County Planning & Zoning Commission — 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Danville City Hall public meeting room. Items on the agenda include:  minor plats for J. Coulter/Albright, Lebanon Road, and Shawn and Tina Cruse, Neild Road; final plat amendment for EROC, LLC on Techwood Drive; site plans for Bluegrass Chase Farms on Whirlaway Drive and Outpatient Healthcare on Hustonville Road; zone change for Hensley & Hensley on War Admiral. Also, chair business for preliminary plat renewal for Westridge Development on Stewarts Lane.

Architectural Heritage Board — 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18 at Danville City Hall conference room. Items on the agenda include: certificate of appropriateness for 117 W. Main St., Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Josh Ives — the new 1,100-square-foot building addition will house a new main stairway and elevator at the main entry allowing for an accessible entrance and access to the lower level Parish Hall, the new brick and stone masonry will match the existing building and the design and character of the addition is in context with the existing building; annual election of officers; and grant discussion for 2017 fiscal year. Health and mobility screening offered at McDowell Place

There will be free health and mobility screenings from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at McDowell Place of Danville, 1181 Ben-Ali Dr. All assessments and screenings will be performed by McDowell Home Health nurses and physical therapists. Tests include blood glucose, TUG Mobility assessment and blood pressure, as well as education and teaching materials. Door prizes will also be given away.
