Tea for the Arts
The Arts Council of Garrard County hosted a fund-raising event on Sunday, Dec. 11 at the beautifully decorated home of Jean Turner, known as Hammonds Hall. The theme was “A Colonial Christmas Tea”. Participants from Lincoln and Boyle counties were also invited to participate by performing skits and playing dulcimer music. A wonderful food and tea tutorial was presented by council member Peggy Gaffney, and the tea was served by various other council members.
Heart Strings performed during the Arts Council fund-raiser tea. Dulcimer players included, from left, Alice Showalter, Victoria Scarborough, Gail Howe and Jackie Pence.

Christmas at Morning Pointe

Morning Pointe of Danville residents rejoiced in the season, as the senior living and memory care community celebrated its first Christmas together. But the holiday festivities weren’t complete without a certain guest from the North Pole, as “Santa” paid a visit to the seniors during the special Family Night.
Lillian Johnson, Morning Pointe resident, enjoyed her visit with her two sons, as they reminisced about Christmases past, and enjoyed taking pictures with Old Saint Nick.
Holidays and special occasions are never missed, as the seniors and their families enjoy food, fun and fellowship all year around.
