Donald Trump just announced that he will ram through approval of the Dakota Access Pipeline. The $3.8 billion DAPL will contaminate the reservation’s water and will be yet another attack on their sovereignty and way of life.

This is just the first of many actions Trump plans to take to use infrastructure projects to destroy the lives of people of color.

But this fight is far from over. The Army Corp — the agency overseeing the pipeline construction — still has the power to delay and block this project.
