Mavylene Potts

Deloris “Mavylene” Potts, 79, of Danville, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born July 23, 1937, in Casey County to the late Elbert and Fannie Turpin Chumbley.

Mavylene was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Potts. She was a homemaker and a member of Perryville Church of God. Her life surrounded her family and her faith. Surviving are three sons, Bobby Joe Potts (Sandy Mitchell) of Junction City, David Earl Potts of Danville, and Donald Lee Potts (Cititia) of Danville; daughter-in-law, Janet Potts; five grandchildren: Tevis Potts, Jeremy Potts, Jerrica Funkhouser, Leslie Breeze, and Daniel Potts; four great-grandchildren; a brother, David Chumbley (Maris); a sister, Paulette Wilson (Gary); three sister in laws, Lois Evans, Mabel Blair, and Nancy Langdon; and a special friend and neighbor, Pat Hendren.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Potts and six brothers, Farley, Wilburn, Darnell, Ernie, Oswald, and Wayne Chumbley.

Funeral services will be 2PM Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Walker and Rev. Bobby “Buck” Fultz officiating. Burial in Junction City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 6-9PM.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy and Daniel Potts, Ryan Funkhouser, John Breeze, Tommy McGirr, Bro. Glen Wren, Tim Yates, and Allen Neal. Honorary pallbearers are granddaughters, Tevis Potts, Jerrica Funkhouser, and Leslie Breeze, Alice Potts, Cititia Potts, Sandy Mitchell, Janet Potts, Chumbley Family, Potts Family, Lois Evans, Mabel Blair, Nancy Langdon, Pat Hendren, Eugene Wilson and Men of Perryville Church of  God.
