Bettye Reynolds

1929-2017

Bettye Grace Gilmore Reynolds, 87, of Perryville, KY, died Monday at her home. 

Born September 8, 1929, in London, KY, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Smith Gilmore and Cora Judd Gilmore, and widow of the late Bertice “Junior” Reynolds.

She was a retired employee of American Greetings in Danville, KY, graduated from Perryville High School, and was a member of the Perryville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, John W. (Jenny) and Eddie (Ann) Reynolds, both of Louisville, KY; two daughters Bettye Belle Denham of Danville and Jeanne (Richard) Covey of Junction City; 8 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. 

Services will be held at the Perryville United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017, followed by interment in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation at the church is scheduled for 5-8 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017, and 10 a.m. until the service on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Bettye Grace’s grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be Tot Preston, Edna Harmon, and Carrie Webb. 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Boyle County Public Library Bookmobile, Heritage Hospice, or the Perryville United Methodist Church.
