Madness in March Sale

Downtown Danville is having a Madness in March sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 2 through Saturday, March 4. Visit your favorite downtown retailers for special deals and discounts. HARRODSBURG — Horse owners can prepare for the upcoming riding season during Fort Harrod Back Country Horsemen’s (FHBCH) annual health clinic, scheduled for Saturday, March 11 at Big Red Stables, Harrodsburg. Equine dentist Jon Jazdzewski will float teeth for $55 and veterinarians Justin Murray D.V.M and Stacy LeeAnne Thacker will offer the following vaccines and services:

Vetera Gold Vaccine, $65; rabies, $10; strangles, $25; coggins and health certificate, $25 each (digital version $32); sheath cleaning, $25 (includes sedation).

Horse owners must schedule an appointment with Lois Short at lshort9655@gmail.com.

“Fort Harrod Back Country Horsemen wants to help horse owners keep their animals healthy while providing an economical way to get the vaccines, dental care and other services they need,” said Emily Dennis, FHBCH president. “We will try to accommodate as many horses as possible.”

Horse owners should arrive 15 minutes before their appointment. FHBCH will hold a trail ride after the clinic, with the ride beginning about 2 p.m. (weather permitting).
