First Southern hosts Veteran’s Park fundraiser event

LANCASTER — First Southern National Bank will host a Veteran’s Park Fundraiser Event on Friday, March 17, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the First Southern National Bank Community Room, located at 27 Public Square in Lancaster.

“We’re excited to share progress updates on the new Veteran’s Park and for everyone to hear the incredible testimony of our friend, Jeff Niklaus. It’ll be an amazing day,” said Mckinley Daily, Loan and Business Development Officer for First Southern National Bank.

Under a deployment to Somalia as part of Task Force Ranger, guest speaker, Jeff Niklaus, participated in the mission that inspired the book and movie, “Black Hawk Down”.  Niklaus continues to influence others through speaking events and serving on the Air Evac Lifeteam out of Danville, Kentucky.

The fundraiser will offer an opportunity to receive updates on the progress of the new Veteran’s Park to be located on the corner of West Maple Avenue and U.S. 27, next door to the Lancaster Grand Theatre. Those in attendance will be offered an opportunity to support the project with monetary or other donations.
