STANFORD — A Lincoln County grand jury indicted the following people on March 27:

• Chad A. Stevens, 27, 112 Cannonade Drive, #B, Stanford: receiving stolen property belonging to City of Stanford more than $500; receiving stolen property belonging to the United States government, firearm; possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; second-degree persistent felony offender. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or property. John Williams with the Stanford Police Department testified.

• Natalie N. Griffin, 38, 155 Brenda Way, Crab Orchard: theft by unlawful taking more than $500. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or property. Trooper Storm Stevens with the Kentucky State Police testified.

• Albert W. Murphy, 44, and Salina M. Smith, 31, both of 1005 Robertstown Road, Kings Mountain: first-degree trafficking in controlled substance, methamphetamine. Bail was set at $25,000 each, cash or property. Deputy Chase Marcum with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office testified.

• Michael G. Coy Jr., 38, 1014 Jacobs Loop, Waynesburg: first-degree possession of controlled substance, meth, second offense; tampering with physical evidence; first-degree persistent felony offender. Bail was set at $20,000 cash or property. Marcum testified.

• Stanley R. Johnson, 60, 465 Toombs Hollow Road,  Stanford: first-degree possession of controlled substance, meth. Bail was set at $5,000 cash or property. Marcum testified.

• Aaron D. McNew, 36, 8845 U.S. 127 South: receiving stolen property more than $500. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or property. Marcum testified.

• Brad S. Helm, 37, 518 Cedar St., Stanford: first-degree trafficking a controlled substance, meth; first-degree trafficking a controlled substance, heroin. Bail was set at $25,000 cash or property. Marcum testified.

Direct indictments not presented to the grand jury include: 

• Michelle D. Hopkins, 39, third-degree burglary by entering Walmart.

• Russell D. Hamby, 38, first-degree possession of controlled substance, meth.

• Gary Lee Falconberry, 28, first-degree wanton endangerment of police officer. Pre-trial diversion granted.

In Lincoln County district court, the following person waived his right to be indicted by a grand jury and therefore was indicted by information on March 10:

• Mark Gray, 44, first-degree wanton endangerment of police officer; driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, heroin, first offense.
