Judy Bagan, of Panther Totem Blessings in Harrodsburg, will be the speaker and she will discuss her top five favorites herbs.

Bagan is a Nutritional Herbologist and a Family Herbalist. She started at age 3, learning from her grandmother and having Native American heritage, it was only natural to follow this path. Bagan finished her formal studies through Dr. Christopher’s School of Natural Healing in Utah.

She has been using herbs for medicine for over 50 years and was finally able to put her herbal expertise to work outside of her family after retiring from the military via the Air Force and the Army. Her husband, Doug, is a Vietnam veteran.

In 2012, Bagan began Panther Totem Blessings in Harrodsburg, spotlighting the natural products she makes and the organic herbs they grow, dry and process. The shop is certified as “Homegrown by Heroes” and “Kentucky Proud.” They are currently enrolled in the Master Gardening program for Mercer/Boyle County. The Bagans have two grown children and share 15 acres with their nine rescue cats and four rescue dogs.

Panther Totem Blessings is open 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and by appointment only Wednesday and Saturday at 1767 Curdsville Road, Harrodsburg. For more information or to make an appointment, call (859) 733-3478  or email JUDYB0208@gmail.com
