The Arts Commission of Danville/Boyle County and the Boyle County Public Library are hosting a reception for the Private Collections Exhibit 4:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Mahan Gallery at the library.

The Private Collections Exhibit is work which has been loaned to the commission and library by the persons who purchased the work. Artists represent a wide range of mediums, including pottery, jewelry, glass and fiber art as well as oils, watercolors, photography, digital art, collage and acrylics.

The collectors range in age from 16 to much older. Some involved in loaning works for the exhibit are first-time art purchases, and others have been collectors for many years. There is an accompanying exhibit of work at the Danville Country Club which is open to the public during the club’s regular hours.
